The production site in Bad Hersfeld, Germany has a long history of manufacturing filament yarns. Originally designed by Hoechst, production started back in 1966.

Working for various international holdings like Hoechst, KoSa and Invista we have operated under particular names like Performance Fibers and Durafiber Technologies.

After a management buyout in October 2017, The FilamentFactory works as a stand-alone manufacturer of polyester filament yarns for the first time. The company now has the power and flexibility to adapt to the swiftly changing market conditions.
