R-PET now available with GRS certificate
The Filament Factory is proud to announce to be successfully certified by Control Union for meeting the Global Recycling Standard for our recycled high tenacity polyester.
The FilamentFactory’s 100% post-consumer recycled high tenacity polyester yarns – R-PET – have recently been certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) promoted by the Textile Exchange, a non-profit organization that operates internationally for the promotion and responsible development of sustainability in the textile industry. Using recycled polyester enables us to reduce CO2 emissions significantly and keep post-consumer waste within the loop.
The GRS certificates obtained by The FilamentFactory covers our complete R-PET product range. Available counts range from 33 – 6.600dtex with several options to get your tailored yarn:
• Flat-yarn or air-textured
• Entangled or twisted
• Flame retardant and/or UV-stabilized
• LOWIK
• FDA
• High shrinkage / low shrinkage
Compliance with GRS requirements allows us to provide a third-party-verified report with every delivery of R-PET, certifying the content and the origin of the recycled materials used to make the product, as well as its compliance with the environmental and social requirements of the entire supply chain.
